As a first year graduate, you will be mentored as you undertake block rotations in a range of specialist clinics at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and in selected community dental clinics.
Rotations involve clinical practice with support as well as clinical observation.
New graduates will spend the majority of their time at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, and up to 4 months in a metropolitan community dental clinic.

Internship details
As a first year dental graduate, you will have the opportunity to:
- gain experience in a variety of areas including specialist, general and emergency dentistry
- learn directly from leaders in the various fields of dentistry
- broaden your skill set by working with the diverse range of patients who access public dental care
- work in a multi-disciplinary and supportive environment
- participate in continuing professional development in a range of specialty areas
- benefit from a structured mentoring program

Submissions for 2012 close 28 October 2011.
Employment commences at the end of January/early February each year.
Places on the program are offered annually as a 12 month contract with Dental Health Services Victoria.
Applications must be accompanied by:
- Covering letter outlining why you would benefit from an internship at RDHM
- Curriculum Vitae
- Statement of University results
- Two clinical referees
Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview in Melbourne prior to employment, the date to be advised by Dental Health Services Victoria.
Qualifications recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
are essential.
