This initiative will build on the current activity and momentum in Australia to enhance the adoption of best practices in the community and improve population health.
APHIRST - Oral Health will bring together academics, policy makers, practitioners, community organisations and members of the public to plan and implement research that aims to improve oral health across the population.
This aim will be achieved by:
- Increasing the evaluation of natural experiments within the roll-out of new initiatives.
- Developing high quality collaborative proposals for research funding.
- Bringing together public health researchers in Australia.
- The governance and management structure of APHIRST - Oral Health comprises an advisory group, a coordinating team and research development groups.
