The Public Dental Clinic of the Year Award recognises DHSV agencies and teams working to improve the health outcomes of Victorians. Entrants should demonstrate how they bring value to patient care and how they improve the experience of their patients and/or staff members.
Top Tip 1: Plan what you are going to write about the nominee before you start. Find three focus points and construct around a 75 word paragraph for each.
Top Tip 2: Include relevant (and brief) statistical data to back up claims made regarding treatment and patient satisfaction outcomes at your clinic. For example, positive feedback from patients will be considered by the judging panel.
Any of Victoria’s public dental clinics that DHSV purchases services from, including public dental teams within metropolitan, regional and rural areas. Previous winners are not eligible for re-nomination for five years.
Dental clinics and/or teams should be responsible for their own nominations for this award.

Tell us about the team you are nominating
In 700 words or less*, please outline how your team/clinic has shown excellence in public dentistry.
The judging panel will take into account the following considerations in reaching their decision:
*Submissions exceeding the 700 word limit will be deemed ineligible.
We encourage you to include supporting documentation with your nomination. Supporting documents can include references, biographies, newspaper articles etc.
By providing these documents the panel will have a better understanding of why you think your nominee should be selected. All documentation will be retained by DHSV.
