The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM) provides general dental, specialist dental care and emergency dental care. The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne also provides dental services for home bound people and people with special needs.

We work in partnership with the University of Melbourne and RMIT University to educate and train future dental professionals.

Access to the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne is via the main entrance on Swanston Street.

We have an information service desk on the ground floor. Our staff at the information service desk can help you with your enquiries. After hours please go to Emergency Department on level 1 of the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison

We understand that coming to the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM) can be a little scary. You can request time with our Aboriginal Liaison Officer.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison officer helps with culturally appropriate services for Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander peoples.

There is also a free Taxi booking phone and a text telephone (TTY) opposite the lifts on the ground floor of Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.

There are three lifts that go to all floors of the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.

Café

Toothpicks cafe is on the ground floor of the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. The cafe sells an array of hot meals, sandwiches, snacks and drinks.

Changing places Toilet

An accredited Changing Places toilet is on the ground floor the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. This toilet is on the ground floor opposite the reception desk.

Free Wireless Internet (wi-fi)

We have free guest wireless internet (wi-fi) access at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne for people with their own mobile device.
