Specialist dental care is often provided as part of a treatment plan. A treatment plan is an oral health plan created for you to ensure the best care for your oral health needs.

Your treatment plan may involve hospitals, specialty departments, RDHM and local community dental clinics.

Endodontics

Endodontics treats disease or injury in the tooth root and surrounding soft tissue also known as root canal treatment.

Integrated Special Needs

Special Care unit provides treatment for people with intellectual or physical disabilities.

Oral medicine

Oral medicine provides treatment of diseases of the lips, cheeks, tongue and jaw.

Orthodontics

Provides treatment to correct teeth and jaw problems using braces to straighten teeth.

Paediatric dentistry

Provides treatment for children and young people up to the age of 16 for complex dental, medical and other needs.

Periodontics

Provides treatment of simple to severe gum disease.

Prosthodontics

Provides treatment in oral conditions associated with the teeth and jaw. It includes dentures, crowns and bridges.

Oral Maxillofacial Surgery

Performs surgical procedures on the teeth, mouth or jaw.
