This year’s program includes four breakout streams including:

  • Breakout session 1: Research and emerging trends
  • This session covers cutting-edge topics in dental research. You'll learn about the latest trends including geographic disparities in dental workforce, the use of mobile apps for temporomandibular disorder pain, AI in public oral healthcare, the impact of vaping on oral health, and the psychological effects of orthodontic treatment.

  • Breakout session 2: Advances in clinical practice
  • Focusing on new clinical techniques and technologies, this session will cover digital workflows for public health efficiency and the use of resin composites for deep caries and broken teeth.

  • Breakout session 3: Population health – local action, meaningful change
  • This session highlights successful local initiatives aimed at improving community oral health. Topics include the Oral Health Champions program in early parenting centres, a pilot project on integrating oral cancer screening into general practice, and a dry toothbrushing initiative for preschoolers.

  • Breakout session 4: Value Based Healthcare – delivering on the promise
  • This session explores how to deliver more effective and patient-centred care. It focuses on strategies for moving from consultation to consumer engagement, understanding what matters most to patients, and aligning different systems to maximise impact.
