An international affair | Welcoming John Graham

Our team at Oral Health Victoria recently welcomed an international guest who built his career in healthcare finance.
We recently had the honour of hosting John Graham, the President of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), at Oral Health Victoria.
Visiting Australia from the United Kingdom, John was welcomed to OHV by Chief Finance Officer Karen O’Duil and Director, Financial Planning and Reporting Sally Clements.
As two trailblazing female Fellows of CIMA in a male-dominated industry, the meeting was an important opportunity to collaborate to drive better outcomes.
A giant in his field, John built his illustrious career in healthcare finance. He joined the National Health Service in 1983 and worked for a wide range of NHS organisations including the Department of Health.
In June, John was elected as the 92nd Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) President and Co-Chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. He has since been engaging with members across the world to highlight opportunities in finance driven by new technology such as AI and business sustainability.
Joining John on his visit to Oral Health Victoria was Nicole Hartas Head of Australasia at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. The pair were taken on a tour of RDHM thanks to Dushy Umakhanthan, Vipin Prem and Helen Clanachan.
They explored our new spaces and discovered the critical role education and prevention play in improving oral health.
After the tour, our CEO Sue McKee and the Finance team joined the boardroom discussions, exploring strategies to tackle public health care challenges – and embrace growth opportunities. This unique visit underscored the power of collaboration in driving better health outcomes.
