The amazing work of our staff has been recognised at the Victorian Healthcare Awards! We beat out some tough competition to take home our award.
Members of our Executive team headed to The Glasshouse on 16 November for the prestigious annual Victorian Public Healthcare Awards.
DHSV was pleased to be nominated among the best and brightest in two categories:
- Excellence in Value-Based Healthcare (up against from St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and Western Health)
- The Premier's Primary Health Care Service of the Year (up against DPV Health and Latrobe Community Health Service)
We beat out tough competition and were thrilled to be awarded with the ‘Excellence in value-based healthcare’ award!
Our Chief Executive Officer, Sue McKee, dedicated the healthcare award to staff.

Excellence in Value-Based Healthcare
'Improving the health outcomes of Victorians through value-based oral health care: Dental Health Services Victoria'
Dental Health Services Victoria has undertaken a transformative journey to improve oral healthcare in Victoria, pioneering a Value-Based Healthcare model.
Their approach places patients at the centre of service design and delivery, with a focus on prevention and increasing access to care. Since 2016, they’ve reduced waitlist numbers, had higher patient attendance rates, all while saving costs. This innovative approach has not only improved oral health outcomes but also attracted international recognition.
