Training for success

We celebrate the impressive achievements of a proud group of DATI graduates.

These are the smiles of success. Four proud graduates recently completed their training as part of Intake 3 of the Dental Assistant Traineeship Initiative.

Dental Assistant Team Leader for surgery and oral medicine, Sebsibe Eliso, reflected on the trainees’ journey.

“We are so pleased for the trainees for completing the training and are proud of all that they have achieved,” said Seb.

“These trainees were recruited through our partnership with Jobs Victoria, to support priority jobseekers to complete free, industry-backed training.

“The participants completed a 9-month theoretical training program though RMIT, combined with a 12-month contract at RDHM, where they put their skill into practice,” said Seb.

What is next for the enthusiastic trainees?

“Some of the trainees will continue to work at RDHM to help provide treatment to our patients and continue to diversify their oral health experience,” said Seb.

Finally, “I would like to extend a heartful thank you to our DA coaches, Senior DAs, Team leaders, Clinicians, our DA staffs and other supporting staff such as CSSD and PAO for their support throughout the training.”

Well done on this fantastic achievement!
