The Luisa Hungerford-Morgan Scholarship supports you to undertake an educational or professional development opportunity of your choice.

Named for its first recipient, the Luisa Hungerford-Morgan Scholarship highlights the impact of transformative care. During her time as a Bachelor of Oral Health student, Luisa was dedicated to the provision of kind and compassionate care to patients at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.

Luisa’s dedication inspired a generous donation to Dental Health Services Victoria, aimed at nurturing the professional growth of oral health students.

What can the scholarship be used for?

The scholarship is valued at $4,000 and there are various ways the recipient can use the funds to support their growth and development, including:

  • Professional development: enhance your professional skills by attending workshops, courses or seminars
  • Research and publication costs: the scholarship can be used to allocate funds towards the dissemination of research within the field of oral health
  • Educational travel costs: travel for educational reasons, including attending relevant conferences, seminars or workshops to engage with the latest developments in oral health
  • Professional memberships: the scholarship can be used to allocate funds towards membership fees for professional associations in the field of oral health
  • Alleviate financial pressure of studying: the scholarship can also be used to pay university fees and costs associated with studying.

Who can apply?

The Luisa Hungerford-Morgan Scholarship is open to current Bachelor of Oral Health students and recent graduates (within the past two years) who are currently working within Victoria’s public oral health sector.

How do I apply for the Luisa Hungerford-Morgan Scholarship?

Applications are now open for all current Bachelor of Oral Health students and those who graduated from this course within the last 2 years and who are working in the Victorian public oral health sector.
